The Raiders Road is historic drove road which lies within the Galloway Forest. This road is single tracked and is un-tarred but without potholes, if you are not the best of drivers it is best avoided.
It was reasonably busy but we managed to get the spot that we were after and got the bivvy set up just of the road by the river Dee.
Had a wee barbeque in the company of a duck and her 11 ducklings running about under my feet, I was feeding them crunched up crisps. Just sat there with a glass in my hand before settling down for a good night’s sheep.
Morag was not happy as she didn’t get to wander around.
