Yesterday after-noon SIM crews were kept busy by a major fire that broke at a construction site on Bossuet St near Pierre de Coubertin in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A 3 story building was quickly involved in flames after fire spread from the basement to the remaining floors. Weather is still extreme and firemen had to face extreme cold conditions throughout the day. This is the second 5 alarm fire in as many days for Montreal fire crews. Fortunately no injuries were reported and firemen are still at the scene of the incident as of midnight this morning.
A 3h30 pm hier après-midi un incendie majeur s'est déclaré dans un édifice en construction au 2660 Bossuet près de l'avenue Pierre de Coubertin. Une 5e alarme a été sonnée pour une deuxième fois en deux jours pour les pompiers de Montréal. Les équipes de secours sont toujours sur place à l'heure d'écrire ces lignes à minuit ce matin.
