Lifestyle Pick Up Trucks are not a big thing in India. Homegrown Automakers had some products back in the day like the TATA Xenon, Mahindra Scorpio Getaway & Bolero Camper with very few takers.
With the entrant of the Japanese into the segment, first with the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross & now Toyota Hilux, the Pick Up segment looks interesting.
We took the V-Cross to MotoFarm to test its off road abilities given its huge size (as per Indian standards). With all the long overhangs, long wheel base & automotive transmission, we were a bit skeptical. So here is the full experience with a few of my friends who had some weekend slush filled fun at MotoFarm.
