In this video, I have explained an important English grammar concept frequently asked in SSC CGL, Banking, and other competitive exams — Adverbs and Inversion (2nd Type Inverted Form).
You will clearly understand how sentence structure changes when a negative adverb is placed at the beginning of a sentence.
📌 Topics Covered in this Video:
✅ 2nd Type Inverted Form
When a Negative Adverb comes at the beginning of a sentence, the structure becomes:
Negative Adverb + Helping Verb + Subject + Main Verb
Examples:
• Never have I seen such a beautiful sky.
• Seldom does she visit us.
✅ Addition to Statement
When we agree with someone's statement:
✔ For Positive Statements:
So + Helping Verb + Subject
Example:
She is happy. → So am I.
✔ For Negative Statements:
Neither / Nor + Helping Verb + Subject
Example:
He doesn't like coffee. → Neither do I.
🎯 This topic is very important for SSC CGL, CHSL, Banking, CDS, NDA, and other competitive exams.
