Randers Regnskov is a state-recognized tropical zoo[1] situated on the edge of the Gudenåen in Crown Jutland near the center of Randers. Regnskoven has a board with six members, a number of sponsors and the patron Countess Alexandra of Frederiksborg [2]. The Rainforest opened on 13 June 1996 with two of the domes. The South American dome was later built and opened in 2003, while the saltwater aquarium opened in 2005. Some of the main attractions in Randers Rainforest are the manatee and pirate fish basin and the 15-metre high waterfall in the South American dome, the suspension bridge right up in the treetops, the large albino tiger python Henriette on 4.5 meters and 56 kilos.
