During the first Vision Europe 2030 follow-up event, held in New York as part of “The Last Mile” series, Suzanne Dixon, President of the European Brain Council, underlined the need for brain health policy change at the highest global level to drive impact across Europe and beyond. Based in Brussels, the Council works to unite patients, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and regulators under one umbrella to break silos and strengthen dialogue across the brain ecosystem.
She highlighted the launch of the upcoming European Brain Health Partnership as a key step toward aligning priorities and fostering collaboration across research, care, and policy. Dixon stressed that while innovation in pharma, medtech, and biotech is advancing rapidly, real progress depends on access — enabled through early detection strategies and strong policy frameworks that ensure new innovations reach patients when they are needed.
