During the first Vision Europe 2030 follow-up event, held in New York as part of “The Last Mile” series, Elena Moro, Professor of Neurology at Grenoble Alpes University and President of the European Academy of Neurology, underscored that tackling neurological disease requires collective action across disciplines and sectors.
Representing more than 45,000 neurologists across Europe, she stressed that clinicians alone cannot reduce the burden of neurological disorders. Progress depends on partnerships—across medical specialties, with industry, policymakers, and other stakeholders—reflecting the shared risk factors linking neurological disease, cancer, and cardiovascular conditions. Moro highlighted initiatives such as the Brain Health Mission as examples of how coordinated, multidisciplinary collaboration is essential to move from evidence to impact and truly advance brain health at scale.
