At 12:00:57, the City of El Reno conducted a weekly test of their outdoor warning sirens on Saturday, November 15, 2025. This test consisted of a 30 second alert.
I originally was going to go to the SRN because of a nice tree shot, and it's 6 RPM, but after hearing Andrew was coming over here, I figured I'd come here instead. And I wanted to record this just for the fun of it. There was another one there, but it got struck by lightning, so Goddard Enterprises refurbished this and put it here. I have no idea why they decided to shove the pole into the intake instead of getting stilts, but whatever. It sounds pretty cool, especially with that 465hz Vortex in the background.
This siren can be found near the intersection of N Country Club Rd and Forman Rd. This siren, along with 8 others, are tested every Saturday at noon. Though the test may be canceled due to rain and severe weather forecasted for the area.
