Main Character Energy in My 40s… Book Club Retreat Vlog

Описание: In today’s episode of Living My Weekends, we are heading out of town for one of my FAVORITE traditions… our annual book club retreat! This is our 6th retreat and every time I attend, it’s truly a trip to remember. There is nothing like sisterhood, laughter, healing, and soft life moments with women who pour into you.

Today is Thursday and I’m on the road to Gatlinburg, Tennessee with two of our book club members to meet up with 19 other amazing women for a weekend of connection, growth, and main character energy. As soon as we arrived, I gave you all a full house tour and room tour of the beautiful luxury cabin. The theme this year was Melanin, Mountains & Main Character Energy, and everything was intentionally planned by our founders Aliciae and her sister Faith.

Each day of the retreat was structured like chapters in a book, which made the experience even more special. We started with Bubbles & Baggage, where we were greeted with champagne and sent to unpack and relax. Later that evening was Comfort Carbs & Cliffhangers, where we enjoyed dinner and discussed the book of the month. The night continued with Cocktails, Confessions & Conversations, but after a long drive, I needed rest… baby steps toward balance!

Friday morning began with Cute, Caffeinated & Confident—a cozy breakfast, coffee, and deep conversations. Then we got dressed in our matching cardigans and explored Gatlinburg during Pages in the City. From shopping, tasting, and exploring to finding some beautiful gold jewelry and nostalgic candy, it was such a fun day.

That evening was one of my favorite moments, Cocoa, Caramel & Candlelight, a beautiful catered candlelight dinner. We also had a fashion show before dinner and later changed into our pajamas for karaoke night during Sips, Heels & High Notes. Of course, your girl went to bed early… because rest is part of the soft life too!

Saturday included Pages, Pancakes & Prosecco, followed by a free afternoon to explore. We went thrifting, grabbed lunch, and surprised our founders with flowers and gift cards to show our appreciation for the love and work they put into this retreat. That evening we enjoyed dinner out, games, laughter, and more unforgettable memories.

Sunday morning came too quickly, and it was time to pack up and head home. This weekend reminded me how important it is to pour into friendships, slow down, and create joy in this season of life.
