Thrift Finds, Yard Projects & a Very Unexpected Date Night

This weekend vlog was a busy but really fulfilling one as I started preparing my home and life for the upcoming spring and summer season.

Friday started a little differently because I was off from both my 9–5 job and my 5–9 shipping shift. Even though I was technically “off,” the day was still productive because it was time to start working on some yard prep and outdoor chores. Before getting started, I had therapy which is something I try to do regularly to help release the weight of the week and reset mentally.

I also shared a little life update in the vlog because there are some new things coming for my life and this channel. I’m really excited about what’s ahead, so stay tuned because I’ll be making some announcements toward the end of March and throughout April.

After I put on the new coveralls I thrifted and grabbed my new mini chainsaw so I could start cutting back bushes and trimming branches in the yard. I spent about an hour outside getting things cleaned up before coming in for a quick break and then heading back out to finish the job. I was so happy to get most of the yard work done before noon, which left the rest of the day open.

After finishing up outside, I took a shower, washed and styled my hair, and edited Friday’s YouTube video. The rest of the evening was all about relaxing with a good dinner and watching a movie.

Saturday morning I was up early again because I wanted to continue tackling a few things around the house. I gathered items to donate to Goodwill and loaded up the car with things that needed to be thrown away. On the way out we stopped by Chick-fil-A for breakfast, dropped off the donations, and of course did a little thrifting while we were there.

When I got home, I shared a small thrift haul with you all and then spent the afternoon relaxing before getting ready for date night with RJ. He took me to a Murder Mystery Dinner, which was such a fun experience. At one point I even got pulled into the show and became part of the mystery which made the night even more entertaining.

Sunday morning I woke up early to meet my friend Ophelia for brunch to celebrate her belated birthday. We went to Southern Kitchen and the food was amazing. I had french toast, eggs, bacon, and of course a mimosa.

After brunch I headed over to the LFC office to help ship orders because we had a huge sale and so many orders came in overnight. I also showed a few updates around the office since we recently moved into the new space.

By the time I got home around 3pm I relaxed for a bit, made dinner later that evening, and closed out the vlog.

Overall it was a weekend filled with productivity, laughter, good food, friendship, and real life moments.
