A short video of restoring an old two man pull-saw I found lying in the attic.
I started by taking measures of the saw and making a small wooden frame slightly bigger than saw itself. On top of it I stapled a plastic cover.
I bought 9 liters of 9% white vinegar and poured half of it on top of the saw which I previously roughly cleaned with scotch brite. After 24 hours I removed the saw from the bath , cleaned it as much as possible with ordinary cloth and repeated the bath once again. After second bath, black residue is removed with progressively finer sandpaper on different tools. Teeth are sharpened with dremmel tool with small disk grinder attachment.
Handles are made from leftover larch wood. I rounded the sharp edges with router and removed leftover paint with handheld belt sander. Handles are then attached to the saw using an ordinary wooden wedge.
