The best and clearest way to know who made your saw and when is to read the information etched into the side of the blade. If the saw is rusty it might take a bit of work to find the etch. It might be totally rusted away. Either way it doesn’t take much time to decide if there is an etch. Look in the center of the blade. On a two man crosscut there isn’t a defined side to look for so look first on one side and then if you don’t find it there it might be on the other.
