I framed the interior of my expedition truck with 20-gauge galvanized steel studs and bonded them together with 3M 5200 Fast Cure (marine-grade adhesive sealant).
The Series: This expedition truck build series documents the complete conversion of a box truck into a custom adventure vehicle, covering design, fabrication, electrical, living space, and life on the road.
The Vision: I’m converting this Hino into a high-end, off-grid expedition vehicle featuring 2,750W of solar, a 51.2V LiFePO4 house system, and a full hydronic heating system. Stay tuned as we build out the ultimate off-grid home on wheels.
