I built a custom battery rack for my eight LiFePO4 batteries, storing 32 kW of energy. I also insulated the ceiling again with Vega Bond Purplecoat, bringing the total ceiling insulation to 3" and R-17.
The Series: This expedition truck build series documents the complete conversion of a box truck into a custom adventure vehicle, covering design, fabrication, electrical, living space, and life on the road.
The Vision: I’m converting this Hino into a high-end, off-grid expedition vehicle featuring 2,750W of solar, a 51.2V LiFePO4 house system, and a full hydronic heating system. Stay tuned as we build out the ultimate off-grid home on wheels.
