Описание: In this video series, we investigate the infamous prairie bandits and vigilante reprisals on the wild frontier of the Illinois prairie in the late 1830s and early 1840s.

In this first episode, we explore the backdrop and some of the initial characters of this story, so as to lay the groundwork for the subsequent videos and the remainder of the narrative.

Note that this series and investigation generally make use of primary sources, rather than histories written generations after the events. Shot in scenic Ogle County, in north-central Illinois, where most of the events of this tragic and brutal story took place.
