Bandits and Vigilantes - Part 2 - Rise of the Regulators

Описание: In this video series, we investigate the infamous prairie bandits and vigilante reprisals on the wild frontier of the Illinois prairie in the late 1830s and early 1840s.

In this second episode, we dive into the key events of early 1840, including the arrests of local criminals, the burning of the County Building, the rise of the Regulators and their punitive methods, and reprisals from those that they attacked.

Note that this series and investigation generally make use of primary sources, rather than histories written generations after the events. Shot in scenic Ogle County and DeKalb Counties, in north-central Illinois, where most of the events of this story took place.
