Don Moen年輕的姪兒因車禍去世，他禱告求神賜下盼望信息以安慰悲痛的家人，禱告後，以賽亞書四十三章十九節中：「我必在曠野開道路，在沙漠開江河。」便浮現腦海，這首詩歌之後也安慰鼓勵了很多人。

Don Moen’s young nephew was killed in a car accident. While searching for message to comfort his grieving family, he came across Isaiah 43:19: “I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” This hymn brought comfort and hope not only to his family, but to many others as well.

神要開道路，在曠野無路之處；
God will make a way, Where there seems to be no way;
雖未看見，祂已看顧，祂要為我開道路。
He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me.

祂是我引導，領我靠近祂懷抱；
He will be my Guide, Hold me closely to His side;
愛和力量日日幫助，祂要開道路，祂要開道路。
