In Jan 2022 I got a letter from a woman of south-east Irish background living in Admiral's Beach, St. Mary's Bay, Newfoundland where she talked about how similar they are to us in Ireland. Well if you want to see more evidence, here's footage of dancers bating it out to music on the stage of their community centre in Admiral's Beach back in 1983. The video footage belongs to Rodney Linehan and I believe the box player is Phil McEvoy while the dancers are Michael and Mary Dobbin , Lar and Marion Doody, Michael and Florence Doody, Joe Power and Mae McEvoy. The real thing.
