A quiet rainy day in London.
I start the morning slowly at home — changing my daily art calendar, organizing coffee capsules and making a cup of coffee with the Istanbul blend. With coffee in hand, I spend a few calm minutes reading Monocle: The Forecast, one of my favorite magazines about cities, design and ideas for the year ahead.
After lighting a relaxing wax melt from Ripple Home, I step outside and notice the trees beginning to bloom — a small sign that spring is slowly arriving in London.
The day continues with a visit to the bookshop where I find a new book by Vigdis Hjorth and browse through a Greek cookbook that immediately catches my attention. Later I stop by Whole Foods Kensington for fresh vegetables before heading back home to cook dinner.
Lunch is a simple slow-cooked beef dish with onions, butter and a little water, gently simmered for a couple of hours. I make rice and a fresh Turkish salad to go with it. I also try making tiramisu — although the cream turns out a little softer than expected. I’ll try again next time.
Just a simple day of small routines, books, cooking and a quiet walk through London.
