SDSU Coming To Me: Reuniting with Old Mentors | WIML

Описание: A lot of fun things happened this week. Although the “theme” was bedwetting because I couldn’t find the willpower to do anything, it was an enjoyable distraction to reunite with my SDSU advisor, Matt De La Pena, and see him in action at an event. Besides that, though, the end of the semester is approaching, and we are laying a lot of groundwork to keep my students from hitting me with that “oh, I didn’t know about this and that” type of stuff. We are preparing to go on Thanksgiving Break, and alongside that, we are trying to keep the momentum going by staying up to date on grades and not letting ourselves fall behind.

Despite the slumps in our enthusiasm, we are still managing to pull through and get things done. There were some upsetting episodes here and there in this one, but if there’s one thing that really spun me for a loop this week, it was the fact that I take a lot of pride in the feedback I give my students on their assignments, and due to my mistake, I ended up deleting some of it… That was a big no-no. The other thing is that now we are formulating our thoughts around the possibility of graduating early, and with that in mind, my brain is shifting into “survival” mode, adapting and finding different ways to stay on top of things.

Besides that, lovely week, wonderful scenarios all throughout, so it couldn’t have been that bad… right?
