Paley Park was founded by William S. Paley the chief executive who built CBS from a small radio network to one of the foremost radio and television network.

Paley Park is an oasis in the center of midtown manhattan with a cooling beautiful waterfall, snack bar, seating in the shade of the midday sun and the only NYC park where you can still smoke a cigar, and the attendants give out ashtrays.
