Eat Lunch with Us at NYC's Hidden Waterfall Parks

Join us for a relaxing lunch at these two hidden waterfall parks in New York City. We found these beautiful spots tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Best of all? They have some great, cheap food options to enjoy against the tranquil backdrop.

Our first visit is to Paley Park, a pocket park that opened back in 1967 on the site of the infamous Stork Club. The celebrities that once roamed the spot have been replaced with business people on their lunch break. And no wonder! They have great food options from The Lunch Box, a tiny kitchen that offers delicious burgers and other popular lunch items at great prices. A top spot for cheap eats in NYC!

We moved on to Greenacre Park, another peaceful pocket park featuring a stunning waterfall. Designed by renowned landscape architect Hideo Sasaki, Greenacre Park opened in 1971. It was the brainchild of the Greenacre Foundation, an organization founded by Abby Rockefeller Mauzé that still owns and manages the park today. The park has won numerous awards for its design and was named to the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior.

Hungry? Greenacre Park is just as good of a lunch spot as Paley Park. You can grab food at Carol's Cafe, which offers breakfast food and lunch specials, including many Indian-style entrees.

Who knew you could find two beautiful waterfalls in Midtown Manhattan? Both pocket parks are the perfect spot to grab some lunch while on a break from work—or when you need a rest when touring NYC.
