Feb 8 2026 Sub Adult Visitor Bella and Scout Defend Nest Views from Three Cameras NCTC Bald Eagles

Описание: A young sub adult attempts to land on the nest. I think this may be the same youngster that has been pestering Bella and Scout the past couple of weeks. This footage captures footage that I edited from all three cameras.

Based on plumage the youngster appears to be about 2+ years old as its beak and tail feathers are starting to change colour. Bella was on the nest and Scout was seen giving chase as per the Field Cam, and views from Camera #1 and #2. Thanks USFWS NCTC for the great views.

The eagle nest is located approximately 75 miles from Washington, D.C. on the campus of The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services' National Conservation Training Center. The campus is in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, approximately 1/4 mile from the Potomac River.
