Feb 10 2026 - Team Work Bella & Scout Prepare for Eggs Bella's Request for Mating - NCTC Bald Eagles

Описание: This footage captures clips of a busy day at the NCTC Bald Eagle Nest as Bella and Scout prepare themselves and the nest for eggs. There were stick and bedding deliveries with great interaction as Bella and Scout get the nest ready. At 823 am Bella becomes aggressive with Scout she uses her vocals, and body to encourage bonding but Scout is not interested. Bella and Scout did mate earlier at the babysitting tree so we know it is happening perhaps just not as often as Bella would like. Female eagles in their fertile phase will become aggressive with their mate, as Bella displayed in this footage, it is normal behavior that we often see before the eggs are laid.

The eagle nest is located approximately 75 miles from Washington, D.C. on the campus of The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services' National Conservation Training Center. The campus is in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, approximately 1/4 mile from the Potomac River.
