Trip from Glen Innes to Inverell, Tingha, and Copeton Dam

In March 2019 we made the trip to Tingha, in Northern N.S.W. camping and looking for gemstones. On the way we say the effects of a devastating drought, with many cattle and sheep being fed on the verges of the road. Also we witnessed the burnt out properties and homesteads around Tingha and the heartache the fires caused. Finally we visited Copeton Dam, which is way below capacity, in the hope of finding some gemstones which some people told us were there. However we found none. Barb resorted to buying some quartz crystal e.t.c. from the local Tingha caravan park manager.
