Our first full day in Rome started with a peaceful walk through Campo de’ Fiori. We didn’t have time to shop (even though the fresh produce was so tempting 🍋🍅), but just strolling through the local market atmosphere was the perfect way to start the day and soak up the energy of the city.
From there, we headed up to Capitoline Hill to explore one of the best museum experiences we’ve had on this trip — the Capitoline Museums. Incredible art, ancient sculptures, and unbelievable views over the Roman Forum made this stop unforgettable. 🏛️✨
And of course, we couldn’t leave without grabbing some authentic Roman pizza and what might be the best gelato of the whole trip. 🍕🍨
This was a day full of history, beauty, and the little joys that make Rome so special — and we’re only halfway through. Stay tuned for Part 2, where we visit the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon!
