INCIDENT VIDEO RELEASE: #SBCoFD Firefighters Respond to Attached Garage Fire in Hesperia
On Saturday August 17th at 11:44am SBCoFD was dispatched to a residential structure fire in Division 5. MT304 arrived to find a fully involved attached garage that extended into the living space and was threatening a nearby home. Crews made an aggressive interior fire attack with support from truck crews on the roof above. Firefighters encountered moderate smoke conditions during initial suppression efforts. The fire was ultimately declared under control in 30 minutes. 3 medic engines, 1 medic truck, 1 medic squad, 1 battalion chief, and 1 investigator for a total of 16 personnel were on scene with no injuries to suppression personnel. One civilian was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
Firefighters search the home for victims using a thermal imaging camera. Images of several cribs and a baby jumper can be scene through the smoke conditions on the camera. Thankfully occupants were able to exit the home and the primary search was all clear.
