Title: Plasma Diagnostics – Part 2: Non-Intrusive Methods
Abstract: The second session focuses on non-intrusive plasma diagnostics, including optical, electromagnetic, and spectroscopic techniques such as imaging, spectroscopy, bolometry, electron cyclotron emission, magnetic equilibrium diagnostics, interferometry, reflectometry, polarimetry, scattering, laser-induced fluorescence, and negative-ion measurements. The lecture provides a concise overview of the underlying diagnostic principles. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of what these diagnostics actually measure, how to assess data reliability, and how to apply non-intrusive methods effectively in plasma experiments.
