New Delhi: Booking train tickets during peak seasons often leaves passengers uncertain when they are placed on waiting lists. To address this, the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) has introduced an AI-powered confirmation probability feature on the RailOne app, which has crossed over two crore downloads. The system analyses historical booking data, festival trends, and real-time demand using machine learning to predict confirmation chances across General, Tatkal, and other quotas. Officials say the model continuously learns and improves accuracy, helping passengers make informed booking decisions.
