Heavy work continued today on the Wrexham AFC Kop construction site as crews pushed ahead despite light rain and colder temperatures. Workers were seen finishing the formwork for one of the main lift shafts, a key vertical core that will soon rise above ground using the much anticipated slipform system. Across the footprint, rebar installation carried on at pace while another section of the site was strengthened in preparation for the arrival of a large crane, signalling the next major phase of the build. From soil stabilisation to piling, and now into foundation and core construction, the transformation of the Kop is becoming clearer by the day.
All of this forms part of the long term vision from Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, whose investment continues to reshape both the stadium and the city. The club is still awaiting final council approval for the seven thousand seven hundred and fifty seat Kop, with the parking survey now complete and the remaining delay thought to be linked to the phosphate issue. As the paperwork moves forward behind the scenes, the physical work on site keeps advancing, bringing Wrexham AFC’s new Kop stand closer to reality with every pour, every cage of steel, and every new section of formwork installed.
