Kilauea Volcano Eruption Update; Up to 7" Tephra Accumulation; Strong Lava Fountains

Описание: On Tuesday, Kilauea produced a strong lava fountaining episode, causing up to 7 inches of tephra to accumulate and completely coat the ground where people were standing only hours before. Tephra fell as far away as Hilo, and a plume of ash rose to an altitude of up to 35,000 feet. This video will discuss the eruptive episode which occurred and show before and after images of the thick tephra which fell in some spots. Tephra accumulation figures quickly fell beyond the National Park boundary.
