Every search for the most dangerous trails in Arkansas will bring up the Centerpoint to Goat Trail on the Big Bluff. It overlooks the Buffalo National River in one of the most beautiful areas of Arkansas.
But is it as dangerous and strenuous as many claim? We wanted to find out.
This hike can be found at the Centerpoint Trailhead just outside of Compton, Arkansas. The hike is roughly 6 miles roundtrip ( we did 6.9miles) and drops over 1000ft in elevation from the trailhead. That means that you will be climbing back up that... Once you arrive at the Big Bluff the shear cliffs will have you hanging over 500 feet above the Buffalo River.
