Today I'm making a classic country
breakfast-creamy chipped beef and gravy served over homemade biscuits.
Simple ingredients, old-fashioned flavor, and pure comfort food.❤️
Recipe: preheat oven 500 degrees !!❤️
Jar of armour 2.25 oz dried beef
3 cups (extra for bench flour) self rising flour
1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup or little less of cold crisco shortg.
Or butter
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
2 tbs bacon grease- pan for gravy
1-2 tsp butter- pan for gravy
2-3 tbs flour- for gravy
2 1/2 cups milk- diluted with water if desired
3 cups flour in bowl
Add sugar
Add crisco
Mux with hands or pastry cutter
Break crisco into flour
Add buttermilk small amounts at a time- you do not want your dough too wet- biscuits can be too doughy or not rise correctly
Flour your surface
Roll and fold for layers
Cut biscuits with cutter or whatever you have
Place close together on parchment paper pan or greased pan…
Note: if you’re not going to bake your biscuits immediately placed them in the refrigerator to keep cold to keep the Crisco cold 
Make sure your oven has preheated 500°
Place your biscuits in the oven and bake 12 to 14 minutes
Gravy recipe -
Rinse your beef and cold water and pack dry with paper towel
Then cut your beef into your desired pieces
In your skillet, add your baking, grease and butter get it hot
Once your grease is hot, add your flower about 3 tablespoons two or 3 tablespoons and add your beef and brown to your desired color .. the longer you cook your flour the darker your gravy is going to be ..
Once you have reached the color of the flour that you want, add your milk, a little at a time, stirring with a whisk
Cook until it gets thick and add salt and pepper to taste. I also added some onion powder for flavor. You can add any kind of seasoning that you like !!
