Hi, I'm Mat Richardson and I am a professional freelance drummer and percussionist based in Sheffield, England. This is a video of a recent studio session - we were recording Stuck In The Middle With You by Stealers Wheel. I hope that you enjoy it.
I decided not to bother with the double snare hits on 4 & and instead just play it quite a bit heaver than the original to get a slightly straighter rockier feel. We were all working to a click and we just did one take straight through and used that. I was happy with how the kit sounds and how everything feels.
