Phulki Chaat is a delicious and tangy street-style snack made with crispy gram flour dumplings (phulki), yogurt, chutneys, and spices. Here’s an easy recipe to make it at home.
Ingredients:
For Yogurt:
1 bowl yogurt
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chaat masala
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon sugar
Milk (as needed)
For Chaat:
1 bowl phulki
½ cup boiled chickpeas
½ cup boiled potatoes (cubed, optional)
2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
2 tablespoons finely chopped tomatoes
½ teaspoon chaat masala
½ cup tamarind chutney
½ cup green chutney
coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1: Soak Phulki
1. In a bowl, Soak fried phulki in warm water for 10 minutes, then squeeze out excess water.
Step 2: Prepare Yogurt Mix
2. Whisk yogurt with sugar, salt, chaat masala, coriander seeds and cumin seeds. Keep it smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Assemble the Chaat
3. Place the soaked phulki in a serving dish.
4. Add boiled chickpeas.
5.Add boild potatoes.
6.Add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander leaves and mint leaves.
7. Pour whisked yogurt over them.
8. Mix well the chaat.
9.Sprinkle chaat masala.
10. Drizzle tamarind chutney and green chutney.
11. Garnish with fresh coriander.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve chilled or at room temperature for a refreshing taste.
