Driving to Bicol soon? Why not head to the Province of Sorsogon, where "Beauty is Everywhere" according to its tourism tagline. That's what we recently did, and as promised it is true!
We visited the Provincial Capitol Complex, with its imposing capitol building built in 1916, designed by renowned American architect William E. Parsons. We also visited the Museo Sorsogon, a museum built from the old provincial jail, which now contains exhibits on the history and heritage of the province.
We visited next the new Sorsogon Sports Arena, which is the symbol of hope and aspirations of the youth of the province.
We drove next to the Bulusan Lake Natural Park and enjoyed the natural beauty of the place. We also got to learn about the facts about Mount Bulusan and Bulusan Lake from the local guide.
Last stop is in Buenavista, Gubat for the surfing lessons. Internationally-trained surfers gave the bagets of the group surfing lessons, and in less than hour, they were already standing on the boards and enjoying the waves of Gubat.
