Описание: Jack Kocur (@coach_kocur), head coach at Oaks Christian School in California, reflects on the fourth-seeded Lions producing a 7-5 victory against No. 3 Newport Harbor High of California in the CIF-Southern Section Open Division girls water polo final at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. The Lions held Newport Harbor scoreless for a stretch of 12:50 from the first to third quarters to become the first team in school history in any sport to win an Open Division championship. Oaks Christian became the first water polo program, regardless of gender, from outside Orange County to capture an Open Division crown since the bracket was added to the boys schedule in 2021 and the girls postseason in 2022. Kocur also guided the Lions to a Division 3 girls water polo championship in 2019.
