Title: Drivers and consequences of the evolution of parental care diversity in amphibians
Presenter: Isabella Capelini
Institution: Queens University, Belfast, Ireland
Parental care is extremely diverse but we still have limited understanding of the drivers of its evolutionary origin, its evolutionary persistence and its implications for life history strategies. Using amphibians as model group, I will show that different care behaviours and adaptations evolve in different ways, may have different drivers, and have different implications for the evolution of life history strategies.
