Power Move & Over And Under With CSX & Norfolk Southern Railroad Mixed Freights. A Big CSX Freight Train With Loads Of Rail! Look At All The Sectional Rail On The Last Half Of The Train. These Trains Are In Kenova, West Virginia. The Heartland Corridor Has A Gigantic Railroad Bridge Over The City Of Kenova That Goes Down The Center Of 13th Street & Then Crosses The Ohio River Into Southpoint Ohio. The CSX line in this video runs between Huntington, West Virginia and Ashland, Kentucky.
A rare sunny day in December! This is the last of my video from Kenova that I hadn't yet posted. I rode here with Scott, @1960gambit. We got all kinds of cool stuff. This video also includes a coal train going over the bridge. Any time you can get an over and under shot of two trains at the bridge, you must be doing something right. 90% of luck is just showing up. Which train is your favourite? How many different locomotive paint schemes did you see? Notice the old Burlington Northern Santa Fe locomotive that Norfolk Southern is leasing. That unit is owned by Wells Fargo Rail. NS is power short right now until their new locomotive orders get delivered. I like seeing the old BNSF units.
Notice at 31:37 the loads of sectional rail. That was pretty cool. Have you ever seen that much sectional rail being shipped? I have a lot of videos of continuous welded rail trains but this might be the most sectional rail on one train that I have seen. Does anyone have any information on that?
The video was getting too long so I skipped the Live Action Pets and the usual slide show. Best frequencies here are 161.250 for Norfolk Southern and 160.230 for CSX. EOT is optional.
