How to fit an electric start to a Yamaha 25hp two stroke pull start outboard. (Part one)

Описание: How to convert a pull start Yamaha 25hp two stroke to an electric start system.
This is part one and part two will follow when I obtain further parts.

This is to fit to the Zodiac Cadet Rib inflatable boat and replace the pull start. It's awkward and difficult for me to pull start the Yamaha engine. Also it seems odd to leave the seat and stand at the back of the boat to start the engine then return to the seat.

The starter motor for the Yamaha outboard was obtained from from Amazon. Starter bracket, starter solenoid (new) and choke solenoid (s/h) were from ebay.
S/h choke solenoids come up from time to time on ebay.

▶️The choke solenoid is activated by pushing in the starter switch, whilst activating the starter. Upon starting the engine the switch is released thus releasing the choke.

These are the main components required, there's various sundries required like cables etc. If I did it again I woud use the next size down battery to starter cables. I went too large at 16mm sq, cable 10mm sq is fine.
