We've had the inflatable and engine for a few months now. We decided on a fine October day to take it onto the River Dart from Totnes heading towards Dartmouth. We never intended to go to Dartmouth as it's a good 2 1/2 hours journey at the 6 knot speed limit. Lynn was worried at 5 knots never mind faster 😍
It was a beautiful day and the scenery, wildlife and the river were beautiful, we had a great day even if my bum got wet through 😂
We had a gallon of fuel and put approx a third of the fuel in the engine tank but ran out on the home straight with about 500yds to go. As the tide was going out we drifted downstream for a while whilst I put the rest of the fuel in the tank.
Not very good fuel economy but then again it wasn't the best cruising speed by a long way, two strokes need to be worked to get the best from them.
