Hongkongers head to the polls today for the Legislative Council (LegCo) election, and many took advantage of the extended voting period, which lasts 16 hours.
Urging residents to vote, Chief Executive John Lee said each ballot could push for reform, especially in light of the devastating fire in Tai Po.
Tai Po voters naturally became where one of the spotlights fell, with some residents downplaying the disaster's impact on their voting decisions.
Meanwhile, to facilitate voters and boost turnout rates, designated poll stations were set up for specific groups, including two pilot stations near the border.
