The majority of the training we do for throwing athletes at the OAI involves light dumbbells, variable resistance bands, body weight, and implements used in baseball (baseballs, mound, etc.), but we have had many questions regarding baseball exercises at the gym and workouts that can be performed by the baseball players and pitchers that come to our facility and therapy clinics. We decided to make this video as a result of the poor exercise selection we had seen online. Working out in the gym often requires you to use other training implements if you don’t have your variable resistance bands or SFMA bands. These are exercises we chose to be specific and creative with common training tools at gyms. This workout is not only for pitchers but can be done by any rotational athlete for an intense and beneficial training session.
