After much painstaking work by many volunteers, the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway finally re-opened to Sittingbourne Viaduct on May 27th 2012.
This was the culmination of the most uncertain period in the SKLR's preserved life. Facing eviction in 2008, followed by a reprieve permitting services over a fraction of the railway, ending in the delay of a full re-opening due to circumstances beyond the railway's control.
Here's hoping for dry rails and safe running throughout the railway's future.
