Saturday Evening Jazz Toast with Dominis/Törnroos Duo June 12th, 2021

Описание: -SUMMER STREAMING SERIES STARTS THIS SATURDAY! I, and my partner in crime Thomas Törnroos, are pleased to invite you to join us for a toast and to enjoy an hour of organ/drum duo music! The concert starts this Saturday June 12th at 7PM. (Attention! One hour earlier than the previous streams!) This first concert in the summer season will be live streamed from my front yard and the theme will be “Groovy Swinging Jazz”. So mark the time in your calendar and sit back with a glass to enjoy some original music as well as a few swinging classics. The concert is free to enjoy and watchable live on Facebook Live as well as Youtube. The concert can also be viewed at a later time for up to one week after the event if you can’t join us for the live stream.

We will also write about why we chose these songs, what they mean to us and great versions that have influenced us. We will send the programs afterwards by email.

A BIT ABOUT ME:
Rob Dominis, a native of the USA, immigrated to Finland in 1989 after studying jazz piano at the University of Miami. He has been teaching at the Helsinki Pop/Jazz Conservatory since 1990 both as a private instructor and band/Workshop leader. In addition to his teaching duties, Rob keeps a busy gig schedule performing all over the country and abroad, in a wide variety of styles. Rob released a CD of jazz standards in 2015 and is currently arranging for a follow up. Stay tuned...
