For transcription post #36 I again decided to do something a bit different. I thought this would be an easy post actually but I of course had to complicate matters… 🙄 This is a transcription of my arrangement of the Bobby Troup classic jazz blues “Route 66”. We actually recorded this song earlier with my trio and I always had the idea to do it solo piano as well. Since the arrangement was pretty much complete and in Logic, I thought I would just export the midi data to Sibelius and clean up the notation… But this seemed to easy and basically cheating… So I decided I needed to do add some improvisation to the arrangement which complicated the situation greatly…🙃 So, a week later… Here you go… Hope you enjoy it! 🤗
