Ingredients
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Onion - 1 finely chopped
Besan/ gram flour/ chickpea flour - 1 tablespoon
Tomato - 1 big-sized finely chopped
Capsicum - 1 chopped
Water - as required
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Kashmiri red chili powder - 1teaspoon or as required
Roasted cumin seeds powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt - as required
Water - as required
Malai/ fresh cream - 1 tablespoon
Garam masala/ all spice mix - as required
Coriander leaves - finely chopped as required
Instructions
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and onion. Saute it and add besan.
Cook besan and onion together on a medium flame. Stir it continuously for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add tomato and saute it.
Now, add capsicum and some water. Saute it.
Add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chili powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix it well.
Further, add some water. Cover and allow it to cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Add malai and mix it well.
Add garam masala and coriander leaves. Mix it well and turn off the flame.
Delicious Pyaaz Shimla Mirch Sabji is ready to be served.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
You can also add ginger-garlic paste or green chili.
You can chop capsicum finely or medium-sized depends on your choice.
Do not overcook capsicum as they turn mushy, keep it crunchy.
You can add spices while adding tomatoes also.
Instead of 1 tablespoon malai, you can also use 2 tablespoons of fresh curd.
Add different coloured capsicum to make it look more attractive.
Adjust the amount of water to the desired consistency.
