Helping kids understand and work with their emotions is one of the most important things you can do for their emotional health, their self-awareness, and their relationships.
This 37-card deck was developed by emotions and empathy expert Karla McLaren, M.Ed. and Speech Language Pathologist Jennifer Asdorian, MS, CCC-SLP to help kids develop expressive language, emotional vocabulary, and trust in the wisdom of their emotions.
Kids will learn how to identify each of their emotions, develop a strong and flexible emotional vocabulary, and play with and get to know each of their emotions.
Research has shown that simply developing a larger emotional vocabulary can help us develop better emotion regulation skills – all by itself! These cards go a step further and help kids learn why their emotions exist, what gifts and skills they contain, and how to work directly with all of them
