In this video we are back at The East Lancashire Railway for the 1st day of their Autumn Steam Gala celebrating the 100th birthday of the pre-grouping railway companies most notably on the ELR The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway along with The London & North Western Railway.

It was to be a 1st in preservation a massive gathering of locomotives that had worked for The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway 5 locomotives in total.

2 guest engineS came from The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway class 25 0-6-0 52044 the other being 0-4-0 pug tank 51218 being on static display at Bury Bolton Street.

The National Trust's Webb Coal tank 1054 under the care of The Bahamas Locomotive Society was the only London & North Western Railway representative during the gala.

We capture 3 of the Lancashire & Yorkshire locos operating during the Friday of the event.

The pre-grouping locos were supported by The Bury Standard 4 Grp's Standard tank 80097 which she would operating on the Friday only of the event before the Saturday & Sunday she would act as back up in case any of the locos run into trouble.

Also in action was as built West Country bulleid pacific 34092 City of Wells which she was making her last gala appearance before her boiler ticket expires in January 2023.

We see the best part of 10 trains between Summerseat & Burrs including some spectacular double headers.

We get at least 1 gds train working which was hauled by the visitor 52044 to round off today's video.
