Coming up

We witness the return of an Icon of steam The National Railway Museum's 60103 Flying Scotsman to the rails at The East Lancashire Railway during the 1st day of 2 Flying Scotsman Preview Weekend's.

We start at Ramsbottom were we see 60103 arriving an hour late after reports of Ian Riley's 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier that was supposes to double head with scotsman broke down and a class 31 diesel came in instead here we see them come through without stopping.

Next we see the arrival of resident 13065 arriving into to stop with 1 of 2 normal steam services that were running on this day.

Now the highlight seeing 60103 coming through smoke box 1st without stopping once Scotsman had left the crab departs for Rawenstall.

We next see the arrival of KWVR based 34092 City of Wells complete with the full Golden Arrow 1 of the most famous trains of the southern region. We board the train for a run to Rawenstall.

We see the bullied leave for the run to Heywood. We next catch up with Scotsman also at Rawenstall as we see the pacific leave still with the 31 diesel for company to assist heating to the coaches.

We see the crab arriving were we board the train to our final film spot of this video Irwell Vale.

We see the arrival of 34092 City of Wells from Heywood and departure. Our final 2 scenes are with Scotsman this time 45407 The Lacashire Fusilier was repaired and was able to join Scotsman for the evening run.

By this stage the weather turned worse and the services were 2 hours late at this point.

Finally we see the 2 double heading through the station bound for Heywood were we end this video.

What a return for 60103 Flying Scotsman bringing out huge crowds during the day despite mother nature trying to spoil it.

I will be seeing Scotsman again next week on for the next preview weekend but that is another story.
